The rich get richer.
It’s official. Josh Gordon is now a New England Patriot. According to Ian Rappaport the Pats have finalized a deal with the Browns to swap Josh Gordon for a conditional 2019 fifth-round draft pick.
The signing comes at a key time for the Patriots who lost 30-21 in yesterday’s rematch of the AFC championship against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
New England has a depleted wide receiver core (compared to previous seasons) and is awaiting Julian Edeleman’s return from suspension. Josh Gordon would be an immediate plug and play option for Fantasy owners.
Bill Belichick has a history of turning troubled wide receivers into stars. Look no further than the trade for Randy Moss in 2006, a season that produced record setting numbers for both Moss and Brady.
